I’ve been Postcrossing for over 8 years now and I love the variety of postcards that I receive, from the mundane to the sublime. For some, advertising postcards are a no-no but I like to receive them as they give a more interesting idea of the times, they are rarer (usually if they are advertising a particular event) and they are often a great example of economic design. This postcard is one for lovers of typography and tattoos, designed by the Dutch artist Wytse Sterk. There’s a very nicely done ‘artistamp’ too, of a popular tattoo style: the burlesque dancer in the cocktail glass. It is published by Boomerang, one of the largest producers of postcards today, and we’re thankful to them!
