I sorted out some tickets for Andrew P. to see Here Lies Love at the National Theatre (coincidentally having it’s final performance as I write this). So so so nice to get a thank you postcard, almost extinct these days (I mean thank you cards, although politeness and gratitude are also on their way out too). The show is a ‘musical’ based on the life of Imelda Marcos, written by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim and set in a Filipino nightclub. This postcard isn’t related to the show but it’s a bloody good choice – in fact, I’m very often to be found dancing on my own in discotheques, so it’s more apt than maybe even Andrew P. thought.
